Odors and aromas have distinct chemical signatures that are characteristic of their origin.   Often these are considered a nuisance, but sometimes they have important economic consequences.    Aromas produced during viticulture for example are important quality markers.    On the other hand uncontrolled conditions that cause the formation of odors can greatly reduce the value of a manufactured article.    

R. W. Heiden Associates LLC has conducted numerous investigations of odor and aroma causing conditions using laboratory analysis to assist in identifying the emissions and the cause of the odor.   These laboratory tests can lead to a satisfactory resolution of complex processing problems.
